How long has SportsArt been in business?

Founded in 1977, SportsArt began building fitness products on an OEM basis in 1981. Throughout the '80s and early '90s, SportsArt was firmly established as a high quality OEM vendor, producing products for leading companies such as Precor, Schwinn, Universal and Tunturi among others.

Where is the SportsArt Fitness factory?

SportsArt Industrial Company, Ltd., is one of the leaders of the worldwide fitness industry. Their 500,000 square foot factory is located in the Tainan Technology Park, Tainan, Taiwan. SportsArt manufactures all their own products and the facility is fully automated with pick and place robots, and a 7 story automated warehouse. For employees amenities available include a full health club and one of Asia's finest koi ponds.

SportsArt Fitness is the only manufacturer to use the patented ™ system on each and every treadmill motor. Our treadmill motors are built piece by piece in our factory, not outsourced like other manufacturers, so we can monitor the highest standards of design and performance. ™ is a cooling system that runs continually to keep the motor in cool, clean working condition. How do I register my product?

When you register your product with SportsArt Fitness we automatically register and confirm your warranty on that product. Registering with SportsArt also gives us the opportunity to inform you about occasional special offers that will be available in the future.

Is the equipment difficult to assemble?

Each piece of SportsArt Fitness equipment comes complete with user manual and tool kit that includes every thing you need to properly assemble your equipment. Please be advised that unassembled pieces may be very heavy and it may take more than one person to properly assemble SportsArt Fitness equipment.

If I have a problem with my product, how do I obtain Warranty Service or Technical Help?

Call SportsArt Customer Service at 866-709-1750 and a Customer Service Support Rep will be glad to assist or troubleshoot the problem with you. Otherwise, they will dispatch a local authorized service technician in your area.

What information would I need to supply the SportsArt Fitness Customer Service Rep?

The Model and Serial Numbers, along with an overview of the problem (including Error Codes, symptoms, explanations of current problem, etc). You may be asked to provide a contact person, email address, and phone number to the Customer Service Rep.

Where can I find the Model and Serial Numbers on my SportsArt product?

Treadmills: The Model Number is on the display panel. The Serial Number is located on the front frame next to the on/off switches and fuses.

Elliptical: The Model Number is on the display panel. The Serial Number is on the right lower bottom frame of the machine where the slide rail slides in/out.

Cycles: The Model Number is on the display panel. The Serial Number is underneath the seat frame.

What Routine Maintenance will I need to perform on my SportsArt Product?

Treadmills: Check all fasteners, connections, and vacuum under the treadmill monthly. Wipe down the console, handlebars, and vacuum inside the hood every 6 months (disconnect/unplug the power before vacuuming).

Ellipticals and Cycles: Wipe down the console, handlebars, and vacuum inside the covers yearly (disconnect/unplug the power before vacuuming).

Will my order go through if I don't fill out one the "required" fields?

What is proprietary Shock Dissipation System (SDS™) and why do I need it?

SDS™ is SportsArt's proprietary Shock Dissipation System. This system is used on all of our treadmills to lessen the impact on joints and muscles during use. The SDS™ system is designed to provide a safer and more comfortable surface for you to train on with less possibility of injury.

What is Hyperglide™ lubricant?

SportsArt's Hyperglide™ lubricant is a proprietary system by which the treadmill belt is infused with high performance lubricant so you never have to worry about waxing as a part of your routine treadmill maintenance. The Hyperglide™ lubricant will last the life of the treadmill and provide you with years of maintenance free belt lubrication.

I have been working out on treadmills for years, my knees are starting to hurt, any suggestions?

You should always consult with a physician before embarking on any exercise program. Likewise, you should especially consult a physician if you are experiencing pain or discomfort while exercising. Any answers or information contained in the FAQ section specifically, or the SportsArt website in general, are not meant as medical advice. That being said, if you receive a doctors OK to exercise, you may want to consider elliptical trainers as a valid replacement to treadmill training. Ellipticals deliver a total body workout while reducing stress to knee joints, hips, and back. While all elliptical trainers are designed to reduce impact, those from SportsArt incorporate a “Shock Dissipation System that further reduces compression generated from forward or downward momentum. Try an elliptical; you will receive a full body workout with reduced stress to your knee joints, hips and back. How does the telemetry heart rate work?

Telemetry is offered on several SportsArt models. The user programs their age into one of the 4 user ID's, the machine then automatically calculates the desired target heart rate for both weight loss and cardiovascular fitness. The user then chooses which fitness goal they want to achieve, the product then automatically makes adjustments to the resistance to keep the user at their desired heart rate.

Will I be able to fit a SportsArt Elliptical in my home?

Yes, our home ellipticals are only 22" wide making the SportsArt footprint much more compact than the standard competitor models which run 30-32" wide (up to a full 10" wider).

Will my product be delivered into my home, and set up?

As truck delivery drivers are not permitted to enter your residence, you are responsible for bringing your product from curbside into your home and assembling the product yourself (plan on at least two people to carry the product inside).

What is “"White Glove" Delivery Service?

Instead of the standard (curbside) delivery as outlined on the delivery information page (step 3 of the ordering process), “ "white glove" delivery service is a professional team of delivery and set-up staff that will deliver your product, bring it into your home and assemble it in the room of your choice. They will also remove all the packaging materials and you will be ready to enjoy your SportsArt purchase.

I didn't receive an order confirmation, did my order go through or do I need to start the process again?

Your order confirmation should arrive within minutes of placing your order however failure to receive a confirmation does not necessarily mean we did not receive your order. There are many reasons an email could take time to arrive including network traffic or congestion.

To view your order status login and click the ”My Account” button. All of your orders and their current status can be viewed. You can view an order confirmation by clicking the “"View Order" link.
